The first meeting of SRRA’s ‘Streets in Bloom’ working group has taken place, where ideas for promoting planting around trees and window boxes and all good ideas to plant up our area generally were discussed. There may also be council funding for this, and the group is actively considering making an application for that.
In the meantime anyone who wants to be involved can contact the group chair Edward White by phone on 554343 or on his email – ewhitebrighton@yahoo.co.uk everyone is welcome to join in and over the year we hope to see lots of planting.
The group will report back later, particularly with news on any funding application, so watch this space.
