Free, fuel-saving driving lessons

Would you like to save fuel and money when you drive?  Free and informal, 50 minute lessons are available from the city council, supported by the Energy Saving Trust.  Over 100 residents in and around our area have taken part so far, saving an average 10% on driving a local circuit before and after instruction.  Studies of fleets of vehicles in Germany also show a reduction in crashes after this instruction.

Lessons are from Hollingdean Community Centre, Thompson Road, so quite close by, and are arranged as enough people express interest (with 8 lessons in a day).  If you are interested, contact Simon Hickmott of the city council on simon.hickmott@brighton-hove.gov.uk, or 290498, or pop in to Hollingdean Community Centre and say hello.  Let him know your favoured days of the week and whether you’d want instruction in a manual or automatic car.
